BARC Tire Shredding receives tires to shred, handle, and transport to appropriate customers. The tires are cut into 2-inch shreds which can be used as Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) or Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA): the two largest uses of scrap tires in the United States.
TDF is used as cost-effective alternative to fossil fuels for a variety of manufacturing processes. TDA is employed in a variety of public works projects to replace naturally-mined materials such as gravel. Through our Tire Shredding operation, BARC helps divert over 4 million pounds of used tires from landfills annually.
Prices to dispose of tires: $.075 per pound
We ONLY accept passenger car and pickup truck sized tires. We do NOT accept tires of any other size.
Tire haulers are encouraged to call for pricing.
