Tailored Day Service/Job Developer Coordinator Assistant

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, coordinate and provide direct services to the program which will develop opportunities and support clients in Tailored Day, Job Development and Community Integration services offered by BARC.


Associate of Arts (AA) preferred with job development experience required in leu of educational degree

  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License, class C with a good driving record, proof of insurance and maintain reliable motor vehicle for transporting clients
  • Current T.B clearance
  • CPR-First Aid certification is desirable
  • Background check for Criminal Identification required through the Department of Justice
  • Must be able to sit/stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Ten years’ experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in educational, vocational and/or community settings is preferred.



  • Assist in coordination of the Tailored Day Program including supervising and assigning staff to provide authorized service hours when needed.
  • Responsible for providing case management and direct services to assigned clients per agency procedures.
  • Support and assist clients in community alternative to day programming, volunteering opportunities, post-secondary education setting and job development.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in communications and documentation.
  • Develop appropriate community networking to facilitate client educational, vocational and community successes.
  • Encourage clients to develop and maintain appropriate socialization, behavioral temperament,
  • Assist clients with educational skills and/or work readiness and on-going success.
  • Encourages clients in appropriate dress and personal hygiene.
  • Responsible for completing all required documentation and reports timely per agency procedures.
  • Attend all required meetings and in-services.
  • Will maintain a professional relationship with referral sources, employers, volunteer agency, school staff, parents, care providers and appropriate others.
  • Will perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Implement community integration activities, transport clients to and from these activities.
  • Identify and increase awareness of both internal and external customers. Give consistent delivery of superior customer service.
  • To continue to meet BARC’s mission by being an integral part of the agencies strategic plan by providing good customer service to the individual served, their families and other stakeholders.


Full-time position

$22.00 per hour with benefits

Job Coach – Supported Employment – Sorting Recyclable Materials

Our Job Coach will be working full time alongside and supervising Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Participation with crew members and clients to ensure that contracts in the community receive excellent service.

Daily tasks include but are not limited to driving BARC vehicle, transporting clients to job sites, sorting recyclable material, other duties as assigned

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, bend, twist, climb, balance, lift 10 -25 pounds, to meet physical demands of the job. Must be able to follow instructions and clearly communicate with staff and clients

Must be available for shifts as assigned, as contracts require, able to drive company vehicle to job sites within Kern County


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid California Driver License with a good driving record and insurance coverage
  • T.B. clearance will be required
